philip glass is idd really nice, if you like this 'minimal music' be sure to check steve reich and wim mertens, biiiig inspiration
gustavo santaolalla has also done a lot of good soundtracks

i cant come up with any names not yet mentioned here, but i know i like the donnie darko soundtrack whoooowie alot, more than alot...
