i just got back from a bike trip to andalusia where i stumbled upon a great exposition in Cordoba: CULTURA VJ, about the fuse of audio and video and more specifically aimed at exposing the VJ Culture.

Presentation L'exposition "Repeat Please : Cultura VJ" il s'agit d'un projet de diffusion sur la culture des videojockeys (VJ), des créateurs audiovisuels du présent et surtout de l'avenir. Le terme videojockey s'applique à ces créateurs qui engendrent des séances visuelles en mêlant des vidéos en direct avec la musique, d'habitude dans les clubs et de plus en plus dans des concerts et des spectacles de toute sorte de musique.

Looks very nice, some years ago (2003?), I went to something similar, called AVIT(UK), a vj fest in Birmingham that went on for a week. These avit-things were organized all over the world, but for the moment it seems to have died a bit. Last one was in Berlin in 2006
