I want to record guitar, acoustic piano, vocals and the sound of my urine shassing through the toilet.. I thought about buying a pair of condensermics from Sontronic, STC-1... my budget is anything around 250euro.. are there more qualified for the specifications? (mostly the first 2)
About the interface, anyone used the Line6 UX2 yet? is it worth the 70euros more over the UX1? And is it enough qualified for piano and vocals or is an edirol better? Doesn't it deform the effects I use with my effect-pedal for guitar too much?
thanks for any help
what about this .. very good & easy for recording your pissing sounds & the rest http://www.soundcontrol.co.uk/mod_1/pages/mod_1.12/pages/mod_1.12.1/pages/mod_1.12.1.1/pages/index.php?sku=1.1.5.1.1-59-19115
nyeaz it's mostly for field recordings I see... for piano it's either way best to record with a pair of mics who are equally matched. stanks anyway :p
My personal solution at home : Zoom H4 + 2 Se2a mikes If you need a pair matched Se1a (if i remember well, maybe Se3a?) this is a product of SE electronics, you can find them @ orbit in Brussels… n(^ù^)°
PS : it's not the only soluce offcourse, those mikes are pretty good for the price, I do prefer them than Behringer per example, but it's a bit more expensive…
A trick to get more volume with a piano, put a third mike (omnidirectional) and mix it in. Or double the tracks in you mixing program. n(^ù^)°
I've got the USB fast track pro interface now and am very happy bout it.
but now for the mic... (especially to combine vocals and piano) budget stops round 300€. I already know these specifications: -must be or a (matched) pair or omnidirectional -capable of receiving high SPLs -26Hz-20kHz
anybody knows other essentiel features or even better, can suggest a concrete condenser mic?
thanks thanks thanks
