Are you sure your track doesn't contain explicit copyrighted samples? If so, don't bother posting it here cuz' it won't be authorised/validated.

That could avoid me having to be the copyright cop around here.

Until further notice or changes made in the uploadwizard, mods, take your responsability and don't authorise tracks with CM!

wtf are you speaking about???copyright???there is no profit on the track here, just a bunch of amateur having fun with music and posting them for free...stop beeing paranoiac plz. Personally i'll keep accepting those track. And btw, i heard so many remix on breakcore of rnb or dance artist, and they never asked anyhting, society suckers made a hit with a remix of a britney spears, they didnt pay anything to her, shitmat with ace of bass, fff with bob marley...and so much more thx for beeing carefull for the site and for zark, but i think there wont be any trouble with that...

Acting this way isn't going to solve problems here. Electrobel and NOT YOU are deciding what actions are to be made. A while ago we decided (Zark and other mods) not to have anymore copyrighted material here on Ebel. the remixsection has been taken care of but that isn't going to help if moderators like you still decide on their own not to follow.

what has happended with no matter what other shitty band in the past has nothing to do with electrobel. Here we want to keep it clean and you will have to comply... don't force me to go check every song you accept... this is only a hobby of mine and I don't want to spend even more time as it is now.

The rights for having ONE single copyrighted song for one day (24h) here on Electrobel can be roughly calculated... I'll give it to you in a following message. It's very very expensive. so don't go saying "I'm not going to do this or that..." if you are not taking the consequences as well.

Hosmoz, please don't react so virulently.  We have to be carefull with copyrighted material around here. When ebel was small it was off course no trouble, but as it's getting bigger and bigger it's becoming an eventual target for organisations like sabam.

So yes, i'd advice avoiding way too obvious audio samples.

When i have some spare time, i'll try to organise a couple of meetings, one with Creative Commons law specialists, and another with sabam responsibles.

Face it, if they come at me with a lawsuit, i've got nothing to fight them with, and would probably have to close down the site, hence losing 5years of hardwork.

I know it's a pain ... especially when you have organisations like myspace that have dozens of lawyers and are almost untouchable. (  i wonder if they even pay sabam for the belgian artists hosted on myspace ).

i do agreed with hosmOz about the society suckers thing, but unfortunately we cant do what we want, so to keep ebel alive and protectd ourself against SABAM problems, indeed we can not accept copyrighted materials... thats the way we will keep our liberty here on ebel... peace guys    

the breakcore section is infested with all too obvious samples titles like "Daft Drunk" or "Britney love breakcore" or "Britney gives me wood" leave no room for imagination. Song descriptions like:

last edit...3.11 minutes made for the Darkness Contest, taken out... for obvious reasons ^^ samples taken from : -Tribute To Sepultura - Sepultural Feast - 04 - Swordmaster - Warriors Of Death. -a Bush speach. -the moovie "underworld".

and I just looked around for 5 minutes! I have nothing against breakcore (I don't like the music but I'm tolerant - I don't like blues either) but we should clean this mess up. I'm not being paranoid - I just don't want this site to be closed down one day. One person that has a grudge against Zark or ebel or even someone else can go to Sabam and it's all over! finished!

your damn right reaman, but i think we need a signal from ZARk, something like a mail to every mod, so every mod will know we can noy acceptd CM anymore and then a thread in the forum, to invite everybody to stop posting CM songs, to send us the links to CM tracks and finally a real popup in the upload wizzard... but when i write this i got the feeling we would become the ebel cops, and i dislike that a lot... 

I reluctantly take the role of CMcop already. I know distreality will take action too because I know he's concerned about ebel too. He was also on the barricades for a CMfree electrobel when we discussed the remixsection last year.

I'm not going to name the mods that are (mayby voluntary) not doing well here but do we need more signs from Zark? He took sides with his previous post, not?

Every mod should now take action and look in his genre for this kind of music. If you don't want to... then don't be a mod anymore.

and it don't matter if a song has a zillion comments and thumbsup... write a little message to the artist and explain why it has to be blocked or deleted. (And if you like the song in question so much... have a quick download before doing so...)

And don't think I'm not being hard on myself. I just blocked two of my own songs because they contained CM.

One day this cleansweep will be over and we will all be able to sleep with a conscious mind and a heart at peace. knowing our beloved Electrobel will not be closed down for something we could've avoided.
