I recently started working with Ableton and i'm not really digging the compressor so i'm wondering what you guys are using as compressor? Preferably multiband btw... Thx!
yes L3 is good or steinberg multiband compressor on cubase sx 3 or 4 work too
Drums and track compression: Audio Damage Rough Rider Master track and more general use: IL Maximus
Is it possible L3 isn't compatible with Ableton? Because that's what it's saying... :)
i'm trying izotope ozone for the moment, pretty impressive all-in-one mastering tool
hello there,
i've tried all of them & must say that my talents are narrowed 2 this : multiband compression (on the mastertrack) is not 100% satisfactory 'cause you'll compress something u don't wanna compress & you'll limit things u just wanna hear (the difference in amplitude)
i'm more into singleband compression ; in Ableton u can insert a compressor on one channel / bus ; so u'll have complete control if u gonna do more/less on the drums/voice/synts/EFX/...
i like the Kjaerhus Golden Audio Series of VST plug ins !!

ps. don't forget sidechain compression as a very effective tool !! ps.. Dark Side of The Moon was recorded with a very minimum of compression ; what an Amplitude Level !! (especially in DVD-Audio)
http://www.geocities.jp/webmaster_of_sss/vst/ look at the c3 multi band compress
hello, the new version of Ableton (8) has a multiband compressor who rockzzz!
