well,

On the one hand, the Samsung has the best specs. But the two are very close to each other.

On the other hand, have you ever known of Samsung making decent products? I mean, would you expect a quality laptop from a company that doesn't even produce decent mobile phones?? If you ask me: Samsung should keep to making refrigerators, washers & dryers, televisions and that sort of shit, you know, what they started out with. Because that is what they do best (they make kick-ass tv's!) But hey, that's just my personal opinion. If you've got good experiences with Samsung mobile devices, don't let me depress you.

well about that...a friend of mine who works in the mobile devices n stuff told me that samsung is really starting to become good in pc screens and everything these days.

as for the prices, the acer is 100€ cheaper than the samsung...and the samsung costs around 400

the thing is : everything i read about on the net, they say that the samsung is the best one on the market novadays, but i've never read anything about the aspire one...will do that tonite then :)

I bougt an Acer Aspire 1 for my mum this week... for 400 E's

My impression is that these 10'' Netbooks correspond to a standard laptop two years ago... integrated graphic card, 1 gb ram, 160  gigs 5400 HD, 3 USB ports.... with no CD/DVD tray and smallsized keyboard, mousepad and screen.

and... If you dont use too much vsts, if you have good eyes (coz of the very small screen), if you use midicontrollers, this might serve as computer for liveset... but the power is limited.

ah yeah one more thing.. if you buy a micro laptop... take care that it has an intel atom processor... which needs way less energy.

I've read that some of this minilaptops dont have intel atom... so that the battery is dead in less than an hour.

Gonz, just save some more money for a decent laptop. Those laptops were produced for internet/bureau purpouse... you don't need it.
