it's not only that i like it, it 's also a way of adding a nice technological feel, visualising something that is, indeed, binary. when design shows technology rather than hide it, me likes it :)
but i didn't do it myself, i found it on the web (check the page source if u want to find it, i don't remember. or send me a mail 'bout it... ) anyway, see you tonite !
you want me to make you a version that works with actual code ? but not binary, it's too big :) maybe some HEX ?

coding is sooooooooooooo exciting :P
Well , it was a fine premiere !
I8U stuff is more about soundscape than music, really: a very slowly deep bass wave takes over your mind and body, very gently but unavoidably, then a very high soft tone appears and makes you think your ears drums are eventually going to pop open, but they don't and it's not hurting. This made a 45 minutes performance like a shared introverted experience of sounds vibrating inside your body. Interesting to witness how electronic sound design can go beyond music and affect your flesh in other ways than rythmic patterns or narrative proposals.
We had about 35 peepz for a space that can hold 50 persons so that's pretty nice already for such an experimental premiere.
Now, for sure every mr.wav event will be very different one to another so make sure you come next Thursday for U.N.DO !
