Improjet/ Festival Minima per Maxima/ Les derniers salons où l’on ose…

A space devoted to expression, beyond academic, western conventions of tonality, harmony and meter. A time for free exchange between audial, visual and kinaesthetic creation. A meeting point between artists from Belgium and elsewhere. An interest in mixing of form as well as pure musical improvisation. The possibility for improcompositions or music composed from arbitrary phenomena. This project is the result of a synergy between CDM 2047 (instigator of the project), Idiosyncratic (collective, label), L’An Vert (the space) and different artists, technicians and organisers in Liège (Muriel Zanardy, O Pé, Yannick Franck, Hazel Carrie, Isabelle, Jo Mancelli, Patrick Delgès, Vincent Scalco, Pierre Marly, Didier Maquet, Claire Blach)

Organization for each Festival: every 2nd Saturday of the month, as from January 2007 at l’An vert

? 17h30. Meeting between local and international artists, exchange of proposals, installation of equipment and instruments, sound check and lighting. ? 19H30. Open to public, music diffused ad hoc in relation to the evening’s program, food available. ? 20H30. Presentation of the program as agreed before. ? 22H30. Meeting with the public.

This project is just beginning and at the present time has no funding but we are optimistic about finding the funds needed for 2007.

In order to launch the project we would like to establish an agreement with you.

At the very worst, we would ask you to play for the ticket sales, food, drink and lodging (with a minimum of 100 euros guaranteed for artists not from Liège)

If you agree, we need :

• a short presentation of your artistic approach or a press book
• your technical requirements
• your usual price
• to know if you are open to spontaneous interactions with dancers or other musicians programmed the same evening.
• your availability: the 2nd Saturday or Saturdays that would suit you best.

We guarantee :

• quality technical equipment available
• music diffusion ad hoc before and after the performance
• good performance conditions (bar closed during the performance, blackout in the performance space)
• minimum expenses of 100 euros, reception (food, drink, lodging)
• audio and visual recording and archive of each evening.
