Hello all.
I recently installed Reason Studio 4, and bought a midi controller. external sound card, and a few other pieces of audio equipment. For over a week now I've been fighting with it, because for some reason I can't seem to get it all to work properly. Here's my problem. I'll make an instrument, and I can play it with my midi just fine (oxygen 8 v2). However, if I make a second instrument, my controller can't do anything. I looked at the back panels of the combinators, only to find that only the first one is hooked up. I hooked up the second one, and it still would not work. Upon examining the audio outputs, 1 and 2 were green and working, and 3 and 4 were "unavailable." This is quite frustrating and discouraging, and I was wondering if anyone could help me out. you can only use output 1&2, since you're using reason as standalone and soundcard only has 2 outputs
create a mixer and put al the instruments on that mixer. then connect the mixer to output 1&2. also check if you controller is locked to the right instrument. right click on the instrumen, "lock to oxygen" or somethign like that. or, go to the sequencer and tick on the red keyboard-button on the right midi-track
