chaosilator and chaos pad

hello all. I'm currently shopping for some instruments to do some live recording, because I got pretty bored with all clicking in the FL-piano roll.  So apart from the basic midi/usb keyboard I stumbled upon the Korg chaosilator, which seems like a cheap (€100ish) and fun toy/instrument.  Specially the spooky analoge-sounding sinewave thingy is cool; but you can also let it do samplebanks to use it like a dynamic keyboard or as a midi-controller for your effects. The only thing I don't like about it, is the small size of the touchpad combined with the lack of a grid or guides, so it looks hard to play more complex melodies without screwing it up. (again check youtube ;-) ) And then there is also the Korg chaos pad; wich has a bigger pad but looks more like a crazy, complicated dj-tool, rather then a mere instrument.  And it's a little on the expensive side as well.  (many people seems to adore it though, check it out on youtube :-p ) Anyone using either of those things and what are your impressions about it?  Thanx
