Spectrasonics omnisphere
Help neededWe think atmosphere, trilogy are huge vsti's (3gb each) and massive has massive routing possibilities. But these vsti's are just futile once this beast is released: spectrasonics omnisphere:

50 gb and release date is mid septembre. Cost will be around 500$ (350€). If there is one vsti ever I will be glad to spend that amount of money on, it's this one. can't wait! Saving up already...

are you capable of soundscultping with these vst's? the way i see these vst's are just big sample packs?
I'm not saying anything about the synth, cause I haven't seen/used it, but the guys in those videos trigger the words "pompous arses" in my head.

With the downloadlimits of for example telenet you'd still have to wait like 3 months :))
No, smart move of these guys. Best copy protection + best sounds = huge amounts of bytes. I think spectrasonics get the most earnings of them all. maybe that's why they can afford to make this whicked shit.
@kyran & particle: absolutely, but that doesn't mean the synths aren't worth it. I know trilogy and atmosphere and they're good. But they're romplers with limited tweaking possibilities. If I see these videos, they solved that problem with a synth that has best of both worlds: great synthesis and great rompler sounds.
