if you mean tweaking your windows for the best performance i'd reccomend installing tiny xp, it runs on only 40 mb Ram, and it's very fast. You can find it all over the internet, the latest version is 09 i think. If you have a normal xp installed, use the tweaks from this article: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/sep06/articles/pcmusician_0906.htm

If you have vista, get rid of it! ;)

i also can recommed Windows 7 as a platform especially if u have a multiple core processor works without a hitch, streamlined, very user friendly, powerfull...

about the xp thing, arn't they discontinuing driver updates and everything? I guess in time there will be compatibility problems with new software no?

yep, since Microsoft ceased support for Win2K earlie this year, i guess that it will take another 3 years since MS will stop any fixes for XP // i think there will be 1 major service pack for XP to come// 

wow that akamusic.com is well dodgy! you pay €5 for a 'share' in an album once the album has reched 50,000€ !! yes thats right 50,000€ they will make the album and sell it for you lol so you need 10,000 people to pay a fiver for a share in your album these kind of sites should be outlawed the only people that will ever make any money is the site owners take your stuff down from there quick!
