Mastering

izotope ozone (cheap), waves plugins (very expensive)

mastering is no easy business though, be sure to do some reading before getting down to it!

nothing bether then WAVELAB just got WAVELAB 5 installed, and it's a major improvement on the 4.01 ... it's far more "visual" not so easy to get the hang of it though, but once you do ...

well, actually i'm also looking for some mastering tools, but then tools that work on the fly as a vst. cause i find the compressors in ableton not super satisfying (very few presets, and not accurate), and i want some mastering when i play live...

today herrmajer told me about isotope, but i can't find it anywhere :(

and if you want mastering, when you play live ... maybe you should try and put a descent "technische fiche" together man ... :/

"works on the fly", by that i meant something like the mastering suite of reason, with good presets

This link should be tattooed on our arms ;) the software? doesn't matter, as long as you have multibandcomrpessors, finalizers (some sort of compression), eq's and stereo imagers. mastering is like hell though. At home it sounds cool and neat but live it can fuck up so very very hard... DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT think that your music will sound better when you have this great big lump bar of a wave file at -0.5db.

also pretty usefull is t-racks...
