how to get there:

--> by car:

comming from everywhere, get to the E19 and take exit 6A. This is a service exit (for ambulances etc), only to be used for going to the UZA or the UIA. The fort is a part of the UIA: you're allowed to take this exit! but it's quit small so pay close attention (een vettig afritje noeme ze da).

Comming from brussels this is the exit after Kontich (7), comming from Antwerp this is the first exit after the Craeybecktunnel !!!

after taking the exit: from antwerp turn right // from brussels turn left take the first street on your right this is the 'wilrijkstraat' follow this street, after a while it will becom 'edegemsesteenweg'. Keep following this road. On your left side you will see a gate with a big sign of the 'tennisclub' and a trash 'n ready sign,follow the signs

the following busses stop @ universiteitsplein: 130 Wilrijk - Kontich - Lier 131 Wilrijk - Kontich Scholen -Lier 140 Wilrijk - Mortsel - Wommelgem - Wijnegem 17 Centraal Station - Wilrijk - UZA 21 Centraal Station-Berchem-Wilrijk-UZA 25 Groenplaats - Wilrijk - UZA

@ antwerp centraal: bus 17 stops in the 'pelikaanstraat', the street with al the louche jewelery shops (final stop of bus 17). @ berchem station: leave the station at the side of the big square (the one they've been working on for 10y), on your left you see a street: there are the busstops. Take bus 21 direction wilrijk. Get of @ universiteitsplein (ask the driver).
