Reason automation
Help neededyo! I'm wodering if what I dream about is possible.... I'll place my problem in a context: I wrote an automation for the frequency buton of a filter that is linked on a synth. So when I puch on play the buton of the filter turns in accord to the automation disgn. I would like to freeze the auomation in a way that the automation stop but keep the last value for the frequency of my filter. Actually what I would like to automate is what happens when you press the S(solo) button on the track of the synth in the sequencer(not on the mixer): so the M button of the track of the filter goes on and the automation stop but keep the last value..... Quiet complicate to explain. If ou understand my problem and have a solution then you'r THE man!

i guess that setting the basic filter frequency value (aka the value that this parameter has before/after the automation kicks in) to the desired value is not THE answer ? -u can recognize it at the blue triangle were a dotted line starts in the automation lane- if not, tryrecording your S(olo) actions
or anybody else has a better idea?

yep, no cause the filter moves alot and each time I put the solo the frequency value have a slightly different value and so the synth sound each time a bit different... The problem is that you can't automate the S(olo) (the one on the sequencer) actions. For now the only solution is to use rewire and record what comes out when I trigger the S(olo) ... but I'm not a fan of rewirering. Or I have to change myself the automation curve each time I puch the solo button. Any way thx tiger! other solutions ?
You would be able to do it by filtering incoming MIDI messages. Rremove the filter controller data (CC#) from the MIDI data. I think if you make a MIDI file of the sequencer (note and filter) data and run that through a program that can filter MIDI messages, you'll be able to do this. I don't know for sure, but maybe even Hubi's Midi Loopback can do this. That's a free program to reroute midi.
