The Harddisk on my laptop (macbook) is dead. With my files and programes. I search a Logic or protools, and a Live 5.2. If you can help me....

wich version of logic are u searching for ? ableton 5,2 a have but not original ! and what system of osx do you use ?

Damn that sux! if you want your files back check this http://www.datarecover.be/ i tried, but my HD crashed too hard and they werent able to recover anything (except for a whole lot of $$$)
Do you have another Mac? Do you now someone who's got a mac? If it is possible link the two machines with a firewire cable. While booting your machine press "T", your machine would be recognised as an HD. Boot the other one as usual. normally your machine would appear as a HD on this one if it is not too much damaged. If you can see your machine, copy eveything you can on another HD. It may be usefull to try that before doing something else. At the end eject your machine as an usual drive then cut off all the machines, then unlink them. Let's hope it works… n(^ù^)°

Before you do this ,
Get your install CD & start up from the CD containing the OS ( insert CD & start the Mac pushing C)
If this works , go the utilities/disk-utilities and do "repair disk" on your hardisk. If you're lucky it get's repaired.
If this & nEUROLAND 's advice doesn't work, take your dog out to the park & use your Macbook as a frisbie ; at least your dog will be happy then.
a also have an working version of data rescue x its an soft program to get all the data out of an crashed harddisk !

yes since the apple sells intel windows machines the viruses also show up now ! i stay by osx native system ! running from sep 2003 first real crash was on may 2007 ! so i almost running 4 years without problems !
