What would you think about an electrobel podcast?
Good idea/bad idea?
How should shows look like?
thematic? by genre? representative mix?
What frequency?
monthly?weekly?
What length?
60 minutes? more? less?
Any volunteers?
i'm already developing a "personnalized podcast"
which would be an extension of the playlists.
basically you would subscribe to one, and you'll receive the mp3's once they are added in that playlist.
right now a first version is being tested with a users favorites (still a couple of bugs though)
check out my blog : http://users.electrobel.be/ZARk/blog its in the PodCast & Keep-me-updated bold title :)
cool thing!
If I understand you right your idea is more oriented to ebel users than to external people that do not even know electrobel? or am I wrong?
what I was thinking about, was more like a weekly/monthly electrobel podcast to present electrobel music and artists to the world by the existing podcast channels...

yeah but you fail to remember the outcome of the radio show proposition a couple of months back :)
so basically you'll get plenty of replies to this thread like "great idea" etc.. lots of people saying they could do it, then when you ask them later, they tell you they dont have time to do it, or maybe they could do one ...

yeah i know... :s so about this radio thing, u got some freshy fresh news???
LoL... no I didn't forget it... and I had lots of fun listening to the one shot show... but in fact... I'm a natural born optimist!
that why I think, old ideas should not always stay buried! :))
oh hey, i posted a forum topic about a radio show a minute ago, but i forgot to check if there was any discussion prior to the post. since i'm currently unemployed, i would be glad to have a project i could invest some time in... first thing that comes to mind is ofcourse the bandwidth, which so far for ebel doesn't seem like an issue, i dont even wanna know. but sponsoring and jingles would definetely make the music stand out more than just stumbling onto tracks at random. i do not have any inside information about the electrobel authorisation process, but it would be possible to give a rudimentary universal quality stamp for tracks to separate the n00b tracks from the (taste set aside) more advanced stuff, during the authorisation traject. a separate brand (and domain) would work better than the current electrobel schema because ebel is more oriented at the music itself, rather than selling a Complete illusion. This alternate brand might be, with decent visual communications, indeed a nice way to put the artists of ebel on a map. Wether it's an on-demand show, looping stream or live cast, it would be refreshing for both the artists & the public to experience the new vibes in the scene.
I would be more than helpful to continue to talk about both concept and programming, so feel free to talk to me directly.
If you are interested in more of my modes, feel free to check out my project overview on My Telenet homepage. (Note that these projects are definetely not electronics-related)

that's smart .. so your email in the profile, which is only visible for registered users is fake, and the one you posted here, which is accessible to anyone is real ...
